A Report on E-book Readers: A Pilot Project at the CSU Stanislaus University Library

This report describes a pilot project undertaken by the University Library at California State University, Stanislaus, to circulate e-book readers to students, faculty and staff. The goals of the project included the determination of what role such devices might have for acquisitions and user services in the University Library, to help advance the transformation of library services, and to advance outreach to the user community. A task force developed a plan to implement the purchase of the readers, draft policies for use, circulation and purchase of e-books.
